With over 20 years of experience in the architectural metalwork industry, I have encountered a diverse range of challenges and projects. My career began as a junior draftsman, where I had the privilege of learning from seasoned professionals who honed their skills on traditional drawing boards. This foundational knowledge has been invaluable as I transitioned into the latest 3D modelling software, including the incorporation of Building Information Modelling (BIM) within our practices. Having worked with three of the largest architectural metalwork firms in the West Midlands, I have gained comprehensive insight into the full spectrum of our industry. My portfolio includes involvement in high-profile projects in London, such as terrace canopy steelwork and intricate steel structures, alongside smaller, bespoke assignments like stair wall rails and glass balustrades. Since my early days operating AutoCAD, I have adapted to evolving technologies and now deploy a sophisticated 3D Autodesk software suite. This enables us to generate detailed fabrication shop drawings and precise delivery lists, ensuring efficient site installation and execution of every project element.
